The de-Luxe Edition limited to 250 copies in full dark red morocco. The coat of arms of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland is embossed on the front-board in 22 ct gold, and the fleam or lancet used by surgeons in blood-letting is similarily embosed on the back-board. The spine is embossed with off-white bars on the red morocco symbolising the barber’s pole, the emblem of the Barber-Surgeon guild in which surgeons were once incorporated. Each copy is numbered and signed by the authors, the President of the Royal College of Surgeons, Victor Lane, the Dessigner, Laim Miller, the Print and Colour Consultant, Joe Kelly and the Bookbinder, Des Breen.
